Rick Eischen - Wood

Rick Eischen is one of those people who fits in to the jack of all trades category. He loves projects, whether it is in the home, out in the yard, or in the garage. His latest project is the restoration of a very rusty 1961 Willy’s pickup truck.

Recently retired from the road construction and land development industry, Rick had the opportunity to purchase a small lathe. He taught himself the basics and learned through trial and error. He decided to upgrade to a larger lathe in which he can turn larger wood pieces. He enjoys turning bowls, platters, rolling pins, acorns, mushrooms, and whatever else someone makes a request for.

Rick is a native Arizonan and splits his time between his home in Mesa and his log cabin in Lakeside. He became a member of the High Country Art Association in 2019.
